Justin Logan is an expert on U.S. grand strategy, American foreign policy, and international relations theory. Until October 2015, he was the director of foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. He has authored numerous policy studies and articles that have appeared in International SecurityForeign Policy, the National Interest, the Harvard International ReviewOrbis, the Foreign Service JournalNational Review, the American ConservativeReasonPolitico, and the American Prospect, among other publications.

He has made regular appearances on a variety of broadcast media including the BBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and Voice of America. Logan holds a master’s degree in international relations (with Committee Honors) from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from American University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two sons.
